Words From Your Host

Smiling woman with braided hair wearing a black tank top and headband, standing outdoors.

“If you keep neglecting yourself & putting others' needs or your career before your own health & needs, your exhaustion, stress & overwhelm will only intensify, leading you down the road to chronic mental, emotional, physical & spiritual health problems.”

HOW DO I KNOW? Because I've spent the first half of my 13+ years as a wellness professional neglecting my own self-care, prioritizing clients over myself & caring for loved ones at the expense of my own health. It left me burnt-out, miserable, resentful & unhealthy. As the saying goes,

"YOU CAN’T POUR FROM AN EMPTY CUP”

WHAT DID I DO TO FIX IT? I started traveling to tropical places, meditating consistently, eating nutritious foods, and investing in activities that bring me balance and joy.  Within a few days, I regained energy, mental clarity & happiness.

Meet your Co-Host Joshua Kwaku Asiedu

This retreat will have a special host!

Joshua Kwaku Asiedu, will come from Ghana, West Africa, bringing all that juicy ancestral knowledge and skill sharing… ready to share with you all!!

Joshua (@livetolearn_learntolive) has been traveling for educational purposes for over the past decade, learning from different rural and indigenous communities in the African continent, Asia, the Americas, and Oceania.

After about a decade of natural education, he settled in Ghana, the very land left to him by his ancestors.

What was a bushy land, slowly became a mini ecovillage, where he built his house by hand, dug his own water well, and created a few natural infrastructures.

Joshua now has been holding educational events and holistic retreats in his very home for half a decade, sharing the art of ancestral sustainable living with people all around the world.

Joshua holds classes and hands-on experiences about:

Natural Farming

Natural Food Processing

Natural Building

Ancient Pottery

and more …

PAST RETREATERS

“I feel like I was losing myself. Getting away from everything & everybody I believe that will help me…NEW BEGINNINGS”

“I can’t believe I haven’t eaten any meat & I’m stuffed! Comfort food without meat, who would’ve thought!”

“When I was asked to go on Lena Di’s Wellness Nicaragua Retreat, I was feeling really overwhelmed. I started my first job, I just had my second baby, and I was just really feeling the pressures of daily life.

I saw this as an opportunity to get a mommy break. Little did I know is how much the trip was going to shape my future in how I saw myself as a parent, as a partner, a professional, and a friend.”

Can’t go wrong with a Lena Dí Wellness Experience. She does a great job of balancing the time with exercising, self-reflection, being able to enjoy the local area, just have time to relax but also will challenge you emotionally, mentally, & physically that leave you wanting more”

—Colette D.

“I feel refreshed. I feel like I’m ready to face anything. Powerful!”

“I care much about others and not about me. When you said I don’t have to say yes all the time, I feel like I should put myself first”
